Dear Mozartfest guests,
We are looking forward to the 2022 Mozartfest season with great excitement. On this page you will find all the information you need about ticket sales in advance and concert attendance.
We are looking forward to seeing you!
Pupils, trainees and students (up to the age of 30 and on presentation of a valid ID) receive a 50% discount on the ticket price and can purchase last-minute tickets from 10 minutes before the performance begins in all categories at a fixed price of €12. Holders of a severely disabled person's ID card with the symbol "B" and their accompanying person also receive a 50% reduction on the ticket price. Diner events are excluded from the reductions.
Each concert ticket purchased for the 2022 season entitles the holder to a one-day visit to the MozartLab at the Exerzitienhaus Himmelspforten.
How can I redeem my Mozartfest voucher?
Value and gift vouchers issued by the Mozartfest Würzburg can be redeemed in the ticket office and in the webshop to pay for your ticket order. To pay a received invoice by voucher, please send us the voucher or the 26-digit voucher number printed on it by e-mail.
What data do I have to enter when buying tickets?
To buy tickets in the Mozartfest webshop, the address and e-mail address of the person ordering must be given. The provision of a telephone number is voluntary and simplifies further communication in the event of last-minute queries or information about the event.
The ticket purchase itself will also be personalised in the 2022 season. This means that as a ticket purchaser you are obliged to name all the ticket holders of your order in the event of contact tracing due to the pandemic and to be able to arrange contacts if necessary.
Is there a waiting list for fully booked events?
If there are no more tickets available for a desired event or price category, you have the option of registering on the waiting list in the Mozartfest webshop. We will contact you by phone or e-mail if we can fulfil your ticket wish at short notice.
Can I exchange or return purchased tickets?
There is no entitlement to the return or exchange of paid concert tickets - also due to changes in the programme/cast or in the event of pandemic-related access requirements. A refund of purchased tickets will only be made in the event of a concert cancellation by the organiser.
Box office and admission
The box office usually opens one hour before the performance begins. Please refer to your concert tickets for the exact time of admission. Tickets reserved at short notice must be collected up to 30 minutes before the start of the performance, after which they go on sale again. Late admissions after the start of the concert will only take place during the concert breaks or at a time determined by the organiser.
Facemasks and access restrictions
We are very pleased to welcome you to the concert again this year without pandemic-related restrictions. To still reduce the risk of infection as much as possible, we recommend wearing a medical facemask at the venue and during indoor concerts. This is for your own protection as well as our artists and staff. Please note that facemasks (FFP2) are still compulsory in the entrance area of matinees in the Residence and the Shalom Europa venue. Thank you for your consideration and assistance!
General access restrictions to the events (proof of vaccination, proof of a negative Covid-19 test, contact registration, etc.) do not exist anymore.
Accessibility
Among our venues are numerous historic buildings. Many of them are barrier-free, but unfortunately not all (yet). Detailed information on barrier-free accessibility of the events is available under venues and by calling our ticket office.
Special features of the venues
Please note that some of the venues differ from modern concert halls in terms of acoustics, climate and construction. In some cases, technical installations may also obstruct the view.
Open-air concerts
If an open-air concert has to take place in the specified alternative venue due to weather conditions, a different seating plan applies and there is no entitlement to a ticket refund. If a concert is cancelled due to weather conditions during the first half of the programme without continuing in the alternative venue, there is a right to a refund or partial refund of the ticket price.
Food, drinks and animals may not be brought onto the premises of the open-air concerts.
Image and sound recordings
Recording of any kind as well as any use of a mobile phone is prohibited during the performance. Visitors agree to image and/or sound recordings as well as live video stream transmissions of themselves during an event. Use of the material is possible for the organiser without entitlement to remuneration.
