Würzburg celebrates - 100 Years of Mozartfest!

100 für 100 – 100 Ideas for 100 Years of Mozartfest

Under this motto, we called on the whole of Würzburg and the surrounding area to become part of the anniversary season with creative ideas. It's all about projects about Mozart, his life and his music, which could be submitted in six competition categories.

The response was impressive: more than 100 projects were submitted by clubs, school classes, Würzburg businesses, companies and private individuals over the course of the anniversary year. The variety of ideas is remarkable: A Mozart tunnel that makes Mozart's night music acoustically and visually tangible, culinary highlights such as a Mozart coffee roasting and recipes from Mozart's time, or a geocaching app with which anyone can follow Mozart's footsteps through Würzburg - the imagination of our participants knows no bounds.

We are overjoyed that »100 für 100« has received the OPUS KLASSIK in the category Audience and Participation Projects. The award ceremony took place at a gala event in Berlin on October 10, 2021. This important award crowns the jubilee season of the oldest Mozart Festival most successfully and is a great compliment to the many actors of a whole city society for their passionate commitment to classical music. A great award for all those who have participated in our project! THANK YOU!
